24 Hour Party People, Our North

This Summer, Leigh Film Society brings a season of film, entitled Our North to the region to spotlight the writers, directors and films of the North of England.

Part of the Great Exhibition of the North “Inspired By” programme, Leigh Film Society will be showing 24 Hour Party People, directed by Michael Winterbottom, on 31st August at 7:30pm. Tickets cost £5.

Manager of Leigh Film Society, Elizabeth Costello, commented, “This is a great year for the North of England and we are very keen to make sure that the films of the North are represented and seen by as many visitors to the region as possible. Here at Leigh Film Society we are excited to be showing 24 Hour Party People by Michael Winterbottom, which delves into the Manchester music scene of the 70s – portraying the City and its people in a bold and vibrant way.”
